Today, we're taking a look at Em Shotwell's Blackbird Summer. Recently released by City Owl Press, this is a new adult, rural fantasy features a romance, but even more than that, focuses on family.
The always delightful Curiosity Quills Press let me join in on this blog tour for Artificial by Jadah McCoy. This is science fiction with a heart. And some really freaky, bio-engineered monsters. As, you know, science fiction tends to have.
This book is the first in a planned trilogy, and with a cover this gorgeous, I couldn't resist hopping on board!
Today, I'm whisking you away to a Cornish island. Okay, maybe I'm not doing that, but the lovely Summer at Little Beach Street Bakery will take you there. Written by Jenny Colgan and published by William Morrow, this is the second book set on Little Beach Street, and I think you'll find it's a lovely place, well worth a second visit!

Why I picked up this book:
I was looking for something a little unusual and out of the ordinary from what I normally read.
Today I want to talk about Darcy Burke's The Forbidden Duke. This historical romance is the first book in The Untouchables series. I was intrigued by the burden that Titus carries and how resolving that would play out, and also by the notion of an older heroine in a historical romance--and by older, I mean late twenties.
